The Floor Lamp Kit is the freestanding version of The Cocoon Air Cleaner.
The compact air circulator fan rests on a stable surface and is tilted to point straight upward. The washable fabric filter is secured over the fan and attached to the included floor-lamp-style support, which helps keep the filter open and upright during operation.
This configuration provides the essential Cocoon fan-and-filter system along with a convenient support method for customers who do not want to install a hook or source a separate stand.

Freestanding Setup
The included support is designed to hold the upper portion of the filter upright while the fan operates below it.
Place the fan and support on a stable, level surface. Position the support so that the filter remains open, vertical, and properly aligned above the fan.
The filter should not collapse onto the fan, obstruct airflow, pull the fan out of position, or create an unstable setup.

How The Cocoon Works
When used as part of a properly assembled Cocoon system, a fan directs air through a large fabric filter to help reduce airborne fine particles indoors. The Cocoon is designed to provide a practical, accessible indoor air-cleaning option, particularly during wildfire smoke and other high-pollution events.
Recognition and Performance
The original Cocoon prototype was developed by a Portland State University team and selected as a winning prototype in the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency’s 2024 Cleaner Indoor Air During Wildfires Challenge.
EPA materials report that the evaluated prototype removed more than 80% of PM2.5 within 30 minutes under the challenge’s testing criteria. Portland State University field testing reported an approximately 80% reduction in about 15 minutes.
Note: These results apply to the original prototype, test environments, operating conditions, and components used in those evaluations. Current Cocoon products and customer-created setups may use different fans, filter construction, support methods, or other components. The EPA does not endorse Cocoon Air Quality, its products, or any commercial product, service, or enterprise.

Fans included in eligible Cocoon kits are covered by a limited six-month replacement warranty, subject to the complete warranty terms, exclusions, and any applicable original-equipment-manufacturer requirements.
The limited fan warranty does not apply to a fan supplied by the customer.
The warranty does not guarantee a particular particle-reduction percentage, air-cleaning result, indoor air-quality result, or health outcome.
